What a night to remember!
Our annual Oxygen Inspiration Evening once again brought together more than 170 professionals from across the insurance sector at Lamot Mechelen.

The evening opened with an update from our Managing Director, Dirk Vervoort, highlighting several important milestones for Oxygen:

• The expansion of our Leadership Team, with Dieter Kennes stepping into the role of Lead Operations

• Our proud nomination for Trends Gazellen 2026

• The first insights gathered from our pre-event survey

Our keynote sessions provided both perspective and inspiration.
Roel Druyts (CEO, Hillewaere Insurance) offered a compelling look into Hillewaere’s evolution and the challenges and opportunities brokers will face in the coming years.

Next, Stijn Baert (Economist & Labour Market Expert) explored several impactful labour market trends, including:

• The persistent tightness of the job market

• Structural challenges such as long-term absenteeism

• The continued demand for telework

• And a forward-looking question: how will AI shape the future of jobs?

We closed the evening with a walking dinner, meaningful conversations and a vibrant, energising atmosphere that reflected the spirit of our community.
